The 971 Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid is a technological powerhouse. A 4.0L twin turbo V8 mated with its electric motor produces a combined 680 horsepower and 626 lb-ft of torque through all four wheels.

With multiple drive and suspension modes, the Panamera makes for a docile city car that could run purely on electricity or a super sedan that effortlessly cruises down the highway. It absorbs the potholes, uneven surfaces and road joints of New York City as if they were an afterthought, all with power and agility to spare.

But with a new model comes the anticipation of new upgrades.

For this Turbo S, we installed the first Akrapovic Evolution Line titanium exhaust to land on U.S. soil.

Constructed of titanium and featuring Akrapovic’s active X connection, the exhaust incorporates with the Panamera’s factory sport exhaust capabilities.

At 40% lighter, the Akrapovic system shaves 27 lbs, while delivering an advertised bump of 10 horsepower and 16 lb-ft of torque. The result is a deeper V8 sound that screams when wide open under load and burbles pleasantly while cruising. Set the sport exhaust to off, and you don’t even notice the exhaust while cruising in the Panamera’s quiet cabin.

Finishing off the system is a pair of optional carbon fiber Akrapovic tips. A titanium-only option is also available.
